WASIC Scholarship

Scholarship for Returning College Students

One set of scholarships is available to returning college students who will be attending college full-time (12 units) during the school year and are enrolled in a Forestry or Natural Resources program. The deadline to submit is April 1st 11:59pm PT.

 

Reviewers prioritize:

- Those attending a Washington college or university

- The intention to enroll in a Forestry or Natural Resources program

- The intention to return to Washington following education if attending an out-of-state school

To Apply:

- Fill out the application form below

- Upload a one-page letter of reference from an individual that can comment on your potential for success in
the profession of forestry or natural resource management
- Upload a copy of your college transcripts

- Upload a 1-2 page personal statement including the following:
      A. Define sustainable forestry.

      B. Your plans and goals related to a career in Forestry or Natural Resource Management.
      C. Your experiences and involvement in areas in which you have exhibited Leadership, Community
      Involvement, Personal Development, and Initiative and any obstacles you have faced. Explain how these
      experiences will help you achieve your career in Forestry or Natural Resource Management.

The successful applicant will be awarded a one-time scholarship of between $500 - $1000.

 

To receive payment, the successful applicant will be required to submit Fall enrollment verification to WASIC.
