Washington SIC: Education

In Washington, the SFI® program works with schools, universities, landowner groups, public agencies, and the public to foster educational opportunities that promote sustainable forestry.

The Washington State SFI Implementation Committee (SIC) is offering two scholarships to Washington students pursuing an education in Forestry or Natural Resource Management.

  • One scholarship is available to high school seniors who will be attending, full-time (12 units) during the 2019–2020 school year, a Washington college or university and intend to enroll in an accredited Forestry or Natural Resources program.

  • One scholarship is available to continuing college-level students who will be attending, full-time (12 units) during the 2019–2020 school year, a Washington college or university and are enrolled in courses offered through an accredited Forestry or Natural Resources program.

Each successful applicant will be awarded a one-time scholarship of up to $1000. Deadline for applications is April 3, 2019.
